Easy Baked Tortellini Recipe

In this recipe, tortellini is layered with marinara sauce and cheese, then baked until bubbly and golden. It serves about 4 people and takes approximately 40 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until the tortellini is well coated.
  4. Layer the Dish: In a greased baking dish, spread half of the tortellini mixture. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese on top. Add the remaining tortellini mixture and top with the rest of the cheese.
