Decadent Lobster Mac and Cheese
This recipe features tender pasta enveloped in a creamy cheese sauce, mixed with chunks of lobster meat, and topped with a crispy breadcrumb layer. The dish takes about 45 minutes to prepare and serves 4 people.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter for topping
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
