Easy Cauliflower Fritters Recipe
These fritters feature finely chopped cauliflower mixed with a flavorful batter, then pan-fried until golden brown. The recipe takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and serves 4 people.
Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, chopped into small florets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Cauliflower: Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly, then chop finely.
- Make the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped cauliflower, flour, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of oil over medium heat.
- Fry the Fritters: Drop spoonfuls of the cauliflower mixture into the hot oil, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain and Serve: Remove the fritters from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
