Easy Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts Recipe
These Brussels sprouts are roasted until tender and caramelized, then drizzled with a balsamic glaze for a burst of flavor. The recipe takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and serves 4 people.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Brussels sprouts: In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.
- Make the Balsamic Glaze: While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, combine balsamic vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), and Dijon mustard in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Combine and Serve: Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, drizzle the balsamic glaze over them and toss to coat. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
